Applicants of the new taxi permit lottery which was held in September through online process can expect the result of Mumbai taxi permit draw on 28th October 2014. In February this year MahaOnline has successfully conducted Auto Permits through Online lottery system it was the 1st time ever that the auto rickshaw permits was allotted through online system. Based on the success of that MMRTA had decided to hold new taxi permit for black & yellow cabs in Mumbai through online lottery system.
The name of Eligible applicants for permits was published on 28th September you can check you names there. Non eligible applicants name was also published with reason/correction to be made and submitted before 30th Sep 2014
Online Application form date for new taxi permits lottery for Mumbai has already ended you can wait to check result of new permits on 28th Oct. The distribution of new permits is issued through online Lottery system. The tentative date for the lottery draw/results of new taxi permits will be 28th of October.
As per Mumbai MMRTA new taxi permit cabs will ply in southern part of Mumbai between Colaba/Cuffe Parade and Mahim/Sion.The new taxi permit will be distributed through online lottery system. Applications with criminal background since last 1 year will be automatically rejected.
Mumbai MMRTA has hold new permits for taxi’s i:e black and yellow cabs across Mumbai region for 7843 permits through online lottery system. The online application forms for Mumbai taxi permist are now available you can apply now through new mahaonline gov’s website website of MMRTA.
The new taxis will be come up with GPS/GPRS system. whenever required taxi drivers will have to show their permits inside the vehicle itself. The new taxi drivers of black-and-yellow cabs will also have to install the e-meters above the dashboard similar to new autorickshaw permits
The lottery system has already begun check the below link for the online forms and application. The period of online filing of the forms are from 6-20th sep 2014, however the online payment can be done from 22nd september 2014. The processing fees for the application is 100rs (non refundable)
